About This Item

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1975. This handsome, heavy book is in Fine condition with a Very Good unclipped dust jacket. This full-rounded account of Needlepoint, its history and philosophy, combined with how-to aspects (stitches and materials used, clear-cut diagrams) enables lovers of this craft to recreate the past and bring this artform into the present. The book is bound in linen cloth with blind-stamped titles on the front panel and bronze metallic spine titles. It is tightly bound, bright and sparkling throughout, with 351 diagrams, and 175 photos in full-page color and black and white. The dust jacket has a number of closed tears alone the top edge, carefully repaired with non-acidic tape and protected by a Brodart protective sleeve (click on photo). The book measures 8 1/2 by 11 1/4 inches and includes 510 pages, with Index. Due to this book's six-pound shipping weight, the domestic Media Mail shipping cost will be adjusted following order to total $6.00. Domestic Priority Mail costs will also be adjusted and based on buyer's locale. International buyers should email me regarding shipping costs, since shipping costs will be considerably more than the cost of the book itself. . Hard Cover. Fine/Very Good. Illus. by Maggie Lane. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Tall.
