Reprint, quarto, pp.vi, (7)-31, 130 full page colour and b&w plates, original gilt titled leatherette boards, closed tear, creasing and chipping to d.j. now in protected mylar. Very good condition. English artist who depicted people and urban landscapes of Greater Manchester mainly around Pendlebury, Lancashire and City of Salford. The football paintings of L S Lowry are among his most popular including "Going to the Match" (or, "Football Ground") 5th impression.
