About This Item
The First UK printing published by Peter Davies, London in 1946. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Light pushing at the spine ends and some light toning to the text-block. A very slight lean. Free from inscriptions. Light offsetting to the blank end-papers. The fragile WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good condition. Some loss and rubbing at the upper spine end and the upper panel. A little rubbing and minor losses to the corners with some mild toning to the flap edges. Some mild edge-wear with very light spotting in places. The wrapper artwork (which is unattributed) looks striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. A cheap post war production and a scarce survivor of the author's second novel. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
