Also a synopsis of all the missionary work on that continent. 456 pp. ill, LACKS half the folding frontis map. A very rare item in first editions. Unfortunately in poor condition. Recently rebound in half leather over marbled boards, new endpapers. Title pages chipped with loss on edges, no loss of text. Scattered spotting and foxing in text.
