The Pan-American Exposition was a World's Fair held at Buffalo, NY, in 1901. By an act of Congress, the U.S. Commission of Fish and Fisheries was provided funds for the purpose of illustrating its functions. Its exhibit was in the south pavilion of the Government building and contained about 10,000 square feet. Today, the Pan-American Exposition is remembered principally because President McKinley was fatally wounded there, dying eight days later..
