Light wear to the binding. Prior owner's signature and embossed blindstamp are on the half title. Otherwise clean within. Map endpapers. The text has a few portraits and maps. This is one of the hardest to obtain of the volumes of Greene's papers. This volume covers the critical period of Greene's "Race to the Dan River" and the Battle of Guilford Courthouse in North Carolina. This hardback volume is very difficult to obtain.
