Park Top, who raced between 1967 and 1970, was conveiably the best English-bred race mare of this century. 'The best of her sex I've ever ridden,' was Lester Piggott's opinion in a letter reproduced in this book. É no one reading this fascinating book, with its 12 pages of photographs, could be other than moved by one of the great racing stories of our time.
