Trimmed edges, faintly dust soiled. Minor bumping and shelf wear to the boards. Corners rubbed. Stains to the tail edge of two of the volumes. Internally, clean and tight copies in overall good condition. France and England in North America, xxiv, 473 pp. La Salle and the Discovery of the Great West, xxv, (3), 483 pp. The Oregon Trail, xii, 381 pp. Montcalm and Wolfe, Vol I., xvi, (4), 514 pp. Montcalm and Wolfe, Vol. II, x, 502 pp. The Old Regime in Canada, xvi, 448 pp. The Conspiracy of Pontiac, Vol. I, xx, 367 pp. The Conspiracy of Pontiac, Vol. II., vii, 384 pp. Frontenac and New France Under Louis XIV, xvi, 463 pp. These volumes are illustrated with both fold out and full pages maps. Francis Parkman (1823 – 1893) was an American historian. Parkman is best known for his epic seven-volume history of France and England in North America and for The Oregon Trail: Sketches of Prairie and Rocky-Mountain Life. These works are included in this set, and they are prized both as literature and as historical documents.
