Hardcover has blue cloth-covered boards with silver spine lettering. Top page edges are blue. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with some fraying at tips and spine ends. Covers have light surface and edge wear. Name in ink on front free endpaper. Top page edges have some staining to color. Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Blue ink from top page edges has bled down slightly into top margin on a few pages. Several chapter numbers circled in pencil on table of contents page. Pages otherwise clean and unmarked. 296 pages. Printed in Great Britain. Dust jacket has overall surface rubbing, chipped and nicked edges, small to 1 inch tears, light stains, and creases. Spine of jacket has additional paper label at bottom: "Distributed by Macmillan". Dust jacket is price clipped. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
