Corners lightly bumped; some general soiling and fading around margins of boards. Pages clean. Includes blank subscription form at terminus of book for the salesperson to enter the subscriber's name, address, occupation, and the style of binding requested. Approximately 120 pages. 8.5 x 5.75 inches. Canvassing salesman's dummy book. The book being sold to subscriber's was essentially a voters' manual for the elections of 1896 that profiled the various candidates and political issues of the day: the Monroe Doctrine, free silver, the gold standard, the Cuban problem, protectionism, free trade, labor, etc.
