A collection of narrative extracts from the life and military experiences of Sir George Thomas Napier, a British Army officer who saw service in the Peninsular War and commanded the army of the Cape Colony. Edited by his son, William Craig Emilius Napier, a British Army officer who became Governor of the Royal Military College in Sandhurst. Publisher's catalogue to the rear. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine with a mark to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
