Van Vechten, Carl. Van Vechten, Carl. PAUL CADMUS. Original photograph by Carl Van Vechten, no date, but likely 1930s-1940s. Photographer's embossed blindstamp on recto. Mounted to cardboard, the verso of which is stamped "Collection of Paul Cadmus," and with a partial label inscribed "Photo by Carl Van Vechten." 9 7/8 x 6 1/2 inches. In excellent condition. Paul Camus, American, 1904-2000, was a painter and printmaker, known for his draftsmanship and his use of early techniques such as egg tempera in his paintings.
