Includes the subscribers' list. Preface with engraved historiated headpiece, initials, tailpiece. Final engraved tailpiece. Modern quarter calf, spine in seven compartments with raised banding and red leather label, gilt lettering. Cloth boards. Endpapers renewed. Slight lower corner loss to title page; gutter stain to prelims. Short closed tear to margin 191/192, resulting from a paper fault. Occasional small marginal tears, corner dogears. Small hole to 347-348. Darkening to edges. Occasional minor spots, toning and stains. A handsome, bright and crisp, well bound copy of the first publication on the Peerage of Scotland.
