NY: William Jackson, 1832. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Bound volume in contemporary half calf over marbleized boards of Volume 1, No. 1, March 31, 1832 - No 47 December 29, 1832. Bound in front is a Preface dated Dec 18th, 1832 and a Preface to the American Edition on the verso of the title page dated New York November 28, 1833, acknowledging how new printing machinery, newly imported, greatly facilitates production but a large circulation at its price is required "to progress through the press and distribution through this extensive country" Covers worn, some loss to calf over spine. Internally, aged with some incidental staining at rear, which has an index added.
