About This Item

John Murray; Robinson, 0. 1st edition of each title, published in 1992 and 1994, respectively. Hardcover for the first-named, softcover as issued for the second. The first is very fine in fine dustwrapper, the second very fine in red covers with printed title label to front. The author displays all his customary wit and charm in his account of the mostly postwar transfer to the National Trust of fourteen of Britain's finest country houses. Ruthenshaw is his charming country house supernatural ghost story. Nice pairing of these two titles.
