The book is a chronological history of the area from just after the ice-age to the end of the twentieth century. If focuses on the people, and features chapters on; First Nations, the arrival of Europeans, the early settlements in the 18th century, immigration, development, and rapid population growth. There is also a chapter on the various ethnic communities, including; Greek, Italian, Filipino, Korean, Latin American, and Black. In addition, there is a chapter on the religious diversity of Scarborough. Included is a section of vintage photographs, statistical data, and chapter notes. A near fine copy, un unread condition, with very light wear to the points of the covers.
