Hardcover in tan cloth lettered and decorated in black and brown. 261 pp. Color frontispiece "Coal Devils on a Coal Tree" by Charlles Livingston Bull and additional illustrations in the text by Neal Thruslow and A.E. Cedarquist. Very good. Vintage bookplate and well as a Christmas, 1913 gift inscription front pastedown. Stories of birds and animals of the wild written for young adult readers (though not childish in composition).
