Small 8vo. 75pp. Patterned boards featuring a handsome design by Laurence Binyon, slightly water-stained at the top edges and worn at the backstrip ends. Front endpaper hinge tender and one section joint cracked. Some slight fox-spotting and the endpapers browned. A good copy. Also includes contributions by 'Anodos' [i.e. Mary Elizabeth Coleridge] (eleven poems), Laurence Binyon (his poems 'The Invocation of Venus' and 'The Willow') Selwyn Image (his poem 'The Truants' Holiday'), Arthur Romney Green (his poems 'Frederika' and 'A Sonnet'), Manmohan Ghose (his poems 'Sonnet', 'Elegy' and 'The Lover and the Painter'), Reginald Balfour (two poems and two translations), and E.L. Dark purplish-blue grained cloth lettered in gold at the spine. A small area of discolouration to the head of the backstrip where the dust wrapper is defective, paperstock very lightly tanned and with just a hint of spotting to the title page and to very occasional text leaves. A very crisp copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, tanned at the spine panel with a single small area of loss, and with a little further uneven tanning to the front and rear panels. Former owner name neatly inked to the head of the front free endpaper, along side a date to the base of the front pastedown (this last obscured by the wrapper flap). Larkin's second mature appearance in print. The title copied onto the front free endpaper in an old hand. Former owner's name on front free endpaper verso and at head of p. [3]: Mollie J. Kellogg. At head of title page: "L.H. $34.55 3/4." Watercolor flowers added to p. [93] by former owner. Very scarce. In Poor Condition: incomplete: lacking pp. 27-34, 89-92, and 131-32; lacking leather at head of spine; boards are very worn, with loss along edges; lacking lower corner of title page, without loss of text; section lacking along fore-edge of pp. 101-2, without loss of text; 5-cm. tear from lower corner of pp. 127-8, without loss of text; light soiling throughout.

First edition - the uncommon first state, which was subsequently withdrawn and pulped; this copy seemingly the publisher's file copy, with that text lightly inkstamped to the front free endpaper. 8vo. 66pp. Green cloth lettered in gold at the spine. A fine copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, just slightly faded at spine panel and at the head of the upper panel, and with a small sliver of staining to the lower edge. Thirty Betjeman poems accompanied by a Piper frontispiece and seventeen line drawings, several of them full-page. Printing errors impacting the poems 'Bristol and Clifton' and 'Sunday Afternoon in St. Enodoc Church, Cornwall' necessitated a complete recall and a corrected edition was published the following year. New York, New York: Nicholas L. Brown. Very Good with no Dust Jacket. 1920. First Edition: First Printing. Hard Cover. 103 pages: 5.25 x 7.5 in.: 0.8: KB#010257: No dustjacket is included. Boards now protected by a new Brodart Archival Mylar Cover. Boards are bright red with paper author and title labels on spine and front cover. Label on front is complete but spine label is chipped. Boards and pages are clean, unmarked, brightly colored, tightly bound and sharp cornered (except for very slight rubbing at board corners). Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. Evelyn Scott (1893–1963) was an American novelist, playwright and poet, who also wrote under the pseudonyms Ernest Souza and Elsie Dunn. This book "Precipitations" was her first book. .

Nice copy of this mid-seventies issue of the classic San Francisco underground Beat magazine, includes a range of contributors. Unmarked copy with minor damp staining to top and left margin.

Rare early issue of this seminal little magazine, includes collaborations and work by Ted Berrigan, Rene Ricard, et al. Unmarked copy, light wear and minor outer spots.

This unmarked (except for penciled original price) copy is from the collection of contributor Opal Louis Nations. Issue also features work by George Dowden, Claude Pelieu, Lee Harwood, Robert Kelly, Clayton Eshleman, et al. Some white spotting (as from Nations's art materials) to front cover, small closed tear to back cover edge, light general wear, a little staple rust.
