The binding is tight, however the covers (black cloth with gilt titles) is spotted and torn. There are chips out of the spine. The interior of the atlas is age toned, with a few chips, but overall clean and tight. Overall, the content is in good or better condition in a poor cover. This particular volume is scarce on the market. ; Folio; 277 pages; This atlas seems to have it all. Chapters include "Astronomical Relations of the Earth. " " Geological Development of the Globe, " and "Biological Features of the World. " In addition there are sections on geographical discovery and history. The atlas contains country maps as well as an expanded section on U. S. State maps. Each map section includes information about the state as well as census data. There are also highly detailed city maps of some of the largest cities. As an added bonus, there is an inserted map (from a different publication) of the "aeroplane routes of the U. S. , undated but from around the time of WWI. The maps are on separate pages without any additional text. .
