After delving into other flaws of mankind, criticizes British hypocrisy in persecuting anarchists while welcoming visiting fascists. The author, exiled from his native Italy, was active in anarchist organizing in London and arrested several times while selling anarchist literature. He is identified on the cover as a former volunteer in the Spanish Republican Navy. In 1945 he was certified insane, which he denounced as politically motivated.
