The Clarendon Press, Oxford., 1888. First edition. Octavo. pp cxvi, 153. Two frontispieces. The first half of the book comprises Lang's extensive notes on the Tales, the second being the French text of the eight contes taken from Bauer's 1697 edition. Quarter vellum with burgundy buckram sides, top edge gilt. Printed on Alton Mill laid paper. The book has the feel of a de luxe limited edition, but there is no limitation page.Some light foxing to prelims. Near fine.
