About This Item

London: Macmillan and Co., 1927. Hardback. Very Good. Lord Curzon was briefly the Lord Warden and resided at Walmer castle. During this time he compiled a history of the castle and of the office and occupants. Even when he was no longer in that position he continued the work for the rest of his life and requested that after his death all the papers be brought out and kept in the collection in Walmer Castle. maroon boards with gold coat of arms on the front and the title to the spine. Some bumping and marks. The pages are handcut and there is some foxing. There are some black and white illustrations of paintings. The binding is tight. Heavier book so post and packing to be adjusted accordingly. AB82
