About This Item
London: Printed for the Hakluyt Society, 1934. Hardcover. lxviii, 164p., illustrated with three modern line maps, these monochrome with a pale green tint (very nice), hardbound in the signature blue cloth boards gilt and blind, an excellent copy, sound, bright, clean and unmarked. Casebinding is bright as to cloth and to gilt lettering and decoration, top and tail rims faintly crimped, a very good copy. FYI, Floris' journal was composed in an antequated English. Second series volume LXXIV. Frontispiece is one of the maps, this a folded one with a meticulously folded tissue-guard; we have never before seen a folded tissue-guard, let alone one in fine shape.
