About This Item
Toronto: Irwin & Gordon, Ltd, 1930. First edition. Hardcover. Near fine/Good. Small 4to. 153pp. Gray cloth printed in black on the spine and in black and silver on the upper board. Large folding map in the rear. Neat ownership name and sticker else a near fine copy with only traces of fading and wear. The map is in fine condition. The dustwrapper is present, but is rough along the top, split at the upper fold and lacks the top inch of the spine (provided in facsimile), so it appears very good.
Peter Pond (d. 1807) was among the most notable of the first British fur traders in Canada. Innis used Pond's own journal to develop this treatment.
