London: Bankroft & Co. Large 4to. 8pp., n.d circa 1961. Kubasta illustrated pop up book. Spine very worn and cracked, some creasing and tanning to pages. The pop up section is very pretty and sharp and working but for one missing illustrated part, and one tiny sellotape repair. Illustrations still good and clean . Poor. Illustrated Boards.

Pop-up book, 13 x 9 inch, color pop-up sheet opens to approximately 12 3/4 x 18 inches and the central dwelling stands approximately 10 1/2 inches tall, black and white in-text illustrations, 8pp, color pictorial stiff card wrappers with cloth spine (softbound). There is a thin area of paper loss in the upper left corner of the unfolded platform (about 2 1/2 inches in length) but it does not appear to be related to any of the pop-up's components. The book is clean and, save for the paper loss, is in excellent condition with sturdy hinges on the platform folds and a tightly stapled text. A stunning brightly colored and multi-layered pop-up by Vojtech Kubasta, showing a scene from Peter and Sally's holiday on the farm. Present are five stand-alone cut-outs of animals, geese, and a child. Printed in Czechoslovakia. .
