Re-backed and sturdy, with original spine cloth laid down both volumes, also later burgundy paper pastedowns and endpapers; spine cloth volume one with a short streak of rubbing across lower portion; leading corner tips bumped with a bit of rubbing which looks like it has been treated also; small bubble to cloth lower front of volume two. Hinges solid & contents clean. ; Blue cloth lettered in gilt. Second state, with additions and corrections. Includes drawings, tables, index. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 573; 733 pages .
