Covers worn particularly fore-edge of front cover, small chips at head and foot of spine. Faint damp stain affecting first 30 pages, some foxing to endpapers and prelims only. Taken from the last Edinburgh edition. Very scarce 19th century astronomy title dealing with the solar sysytem. Part I deals with the motions of the planetary orbs, while Part II deals with the physical composition of the solar system and of the bodies that compose it. There are notes at the end on Kepler's Third Law; Eclipses and Bode's Law of Distances.. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Good Plus. 8vo.
