Quarto, with 129 b&w illustrations cut into text showing a representative array of Philippine birds each of which is locally and scientifically named and described in detail with respect to size, food, nesting, and breeding. Mammals are accorded similar treatment. With the bookplate of the ornithologist S. Dillon Ripley. Dj is nicked all around the edges, hinge has a small slit (3 cm); nevertheless a generally clean, sound copy of a hard to find book.
