Small green cloth-covered photograph album, 5 5/8" H x 4" W, blind stamped decoration on spine and boards, gilt decoration on front board, gilt "Album" on spine, all edges gilt, metal clasp, decorative endpapers. 6 leaves, each page having a cut-out for photograph and decorative gilt border with the letters "E.&H.T.A." printed at bottom. This album contains 8 photographs and 1 tintype (three openings do not contain images). 1. Pencil notation identifies this small head shot as "Ezekiel Smith" and the photographer label reads "Made by / C.H. Ingalls / 53 King Street, / Two Doors West of the / College, / Hamilton, C.W. 2. Pencil notation: "Mary McDuffee Smith", no photographer identification. 3. Pencil notation: "John Baillie & Marcia Smith", photographer identified as "Milne, Photographer / Hamilton, Ont." 3. Pencil notation: "Robert & John Baillie", photographer identified as "Milne, Photographer / Hamilton, Ont." 4. Pencil notation: "Minnie Arabella Farewell / wife of Philander Smith Gilray", photographer identified as "Eckerson & Bell Smith / Hamilton, Ont." - noted in pencil on verso "B. 1857". 5. Pencil notation: "James (&) Walter", photographer identified as "L. Minor to very light soiling to some pages, one empty photograph opening has two very small edge tears, three small areas of surface paper loss on inside rear hinge due to residual glue, very small corner crease on rear free endpaper, minor corner bumps on boards, very light edge wear - mostly at corners and at top of front hinge, some areas of slight darkening on boards..
