About This Item
New York; (1995): Random House. First Edition. Quarto. 256 pages, photo index, signed by photographer A. Liberman on the endpaper. Preface by Calvin Tompkins. Liberman's photographs include not only such major figures in the arts as Capote, Cartier-Brisson, Baryshnikov, Braque, Chanel, Picasso, Dior, Horowitz, Jasper Johns, Irving Penn, Arthur Miller, and many others but also his photographs of the Hells Angels and those on the outer edges of society. Most of his photographs were unplanned. They were taken to document a "moment" but reveal a life full of charm, valor, and creative energy, and time that shaped the world we know now. Bound in beige cloth, spine lettering black, a fine copy in fine unclipped pictorial dust jacket.
