Glasgow, Scotland, 1867. Decorative Cloth. Near Fine. The 1867 1st edition of this "first series" of photographs of Scotland's River Clyde. With 12 mounted albumen prints, each captioned below the photograph, each devoting 1 or 2 pgs. to the particular scene. Dark-green cloth, bright gilt-titled and decorated front panel, bright gilt-rule. Very light wear at the tips, the plates in lovely condition. Quarto, a well-preserved, Near Fine copy of this early excusrion into scenic or nature photography. Includes "Bonnington Linn", "Corra Linn", "Cartland Crags", "Stonebyres Linn", "Craignethan Castle", "Bothwell Bridge", etc.
