These are followed by essays covering the various phases of the development of the medium at the Bauhaus, architectural and product photography, applied photography and "typofoto," the egg in 1920s photography, the stage photography of the Oscar Schlemmer era, photographic education under Walter Peterhans, and the Bauhaus photographic legacy in agencies, reportage, and documentary. Biographies of every Bauhaus photographer are also included.
