Illustrated from still photographs from the 1927 First National movie "THE PATENT LEATHER KID", starring Richard Barthelmess, Molly O'Day and Lanford Davidson. Red cloth. 5" x 7 1/2". The film follows Barthelmess, as a prize fighter, into combat in World War One. Extensive battle scenes were filmed at Camp Lewis, Washington, using real Army troops and equipment, including tanks. Period Grosset and Dunlap bookmark laid in, A Near Fine copy (Chrismas greeting on front free endpaper; very slight edgewear) in a Near Fine dust jacket (Some edgewear, mostly at spine ends; small closed tear at rear cover), now in a clear mylar protective sleeve.
