Orig. published in 1956, this is the New Revised Edition from 1963 (seventh printing-1964), which incorporates critical images from the nascent civil rights movement. Oversized hardcover is in VG- condition: has a few stamps in front matter & bottom/fore edge outside page edges showing it was the property of the Philadelphia school system. A bit of tearing to heel of spine. Otherwise, very clean, binding tight & square, pages creamy white. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to only Good due to moderate-heavy edgewear all around, including a large chip to top spine/front edge & many small tears/chips.
