Includes sensoga's or war paintings and nihonga's, which, though not depicting war-related events, have a patriotic intent. Many in stunning color, some in black-and white. Also includes several 3-panel fold-outs. Annotations in English and Japanese. Bound in black cloth with gilt lettering and decorative elements to front and spine panels. Includes dust jacket. Rare. Two copies only in WorldCat database. No copies in commerce at the time of this posting. Several hundred unnumbered pages. 12 1/2" x 9 1/4". Tight, unmarked copy with small area of board cloth loss to bottom corner of front panel. Dust jacket with significant edge wear, tears, small areas of loss, creasing and archival tape repairs.
