Contents arrange historic sites by the 12 provinces covered, and is augmented by a list of sites, such as bridges, cave monasteries, graves, memorial gates, temples, mosques, and Bhuddha figures. The 2nd photo is a superb view of the Great Wall in Chili (Hobei), dating from 500 BC --- the mountainous terrian testifies to a time, and the great length China undertook to repel northern nomadic incursions.
