About This Item
London: John Murray, 1820. Recently rebound to a very high standard in period style: half brown goatskin with spine lettered and ruled in gilt, marbled paper boards. Large 4to: 52 leaves of text (unnumbered and unsigned); engraved title + 63 plates. Aside from the one plate and the blindstamp, in fine condition. All plates present, with a few out of order; plate 58 has a professionally repaired tear of 2" within the image. Tissue guards no longer present. Blindstamp on title page mostly burnished away, of the Lenox Library in Massachusetts. De-accessioning has been confirmed with the Librarian. No other markings. Graesse vol. 3 p. 198. Not in Cox, not in Abbey.
