A previous owner has written lightly in pencil at the top of the same page that "Pierre Franey died October 16, 1996- while giving a cooking demonstration on the QE ll..." Uncommon book to find signed by Franey. This award winning chef was the executive chef of legendary restaurants Le Pavillon and La Cote Basque in NYC. (See photos).
