This is a very fine presentation copy of this entertaining history of the major streets in Seattle, intended for a young audience. Author Sarah Sophia Frye Bass (1867-1947) was the granddaughter of one of the founders of that city, Arthur A. Denny, and she grew up on stories of the early pioneer days. In addition to writing books on Seattle's beginnings, she also donated books and money to establish the Sophie Frye Bass Library at the Seattle Museum of History and Industry.
