Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1975. First edition thus. Hardcover. Large octavo. Brown cloth boards with gilt title and decorations to front board, gilt title to spine. Cream dust jacket. Lovely illustrations throughout by Leonard B. Lubin. Book is near fine in a very good jacket, with a tiny open tear (only slightly larger than a pinhole) to the surface of the spine, and light chipping to the edges. An illustrated version of one of the tales from Sylvie and Bruno. This is Leonard Lubin's debut in book illustration.
Synopsis
Lewis Carroll tells another tale in nonsense verse, this poem about a pig so very plump that he could only sit and moan because he could not jump!
