The book is a standard Jonathan Cape printing (green boards with gilt lettering/emblem on spine, blindstamped title on front board), in the Clarke Irwin series dust jacket produced for the Canadian market. The same dust jacket design was used for all twelve books in the series. "There are no sailing jaunts in this volume, but a camping trip on High Topps provides just as many novel adventures. The Walkers, Blacketss and D's prove to be as resourceful on land as they are on water and justify their parent's decision to leave them on their own.
