Titled pale green wrapper w black lettering and border on cover. Staining to bottom corners and spine. Soft diagonal crease to back cover. Binding square and sound. Duodecimo: 19.5 x 13.5cm. n.d. No publisher or place of publication stated, however it is likely and in-house publication of Faith Institutions in Ashville NC, USA of which Compton was founder. The institutions included Eliada Orphanage where Compton was the focus of charges growing out of an investigation into alleged misconduct toward young girls in the institution (The Asheville Times from Oct. 20-23, 1943) and where the author, Grace E. Green, served as a matron in the care of the children and personal secretary to Compton.. An earlier very favorable biography of Compton was published in-house by Eliada Orphanage and Faith Cottage Rescue Work, 1914, authored by Rev. John C. Patty. The Eliada charity continues to this day offering support services "Helping Children Succeed".
