Modern full leather binding with gilt lettering and hand marbled end papers; top edge gilt; hand sewn silk headbands. Tissue protected frontispiece; map pasted to prelim; pp. 145. Consciously bound in undefined (unknown, as supplied) bush leather with scars from South Africa. With black cloth and marble paper lined slip case. An important work in African American history. Campbell's (himself African American) research trip to Nigeria studying the feasibility of African Americans returning/emigrating to Africa. Ex library with library and faded withdrawn stamps to bottom of title page below publisher. A damp stain in top third frontispiece.
