Chicago: J. Phillip. O'Hara, Inc.; (1955). First Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. First edition of this reissue of the author's 1955 first novel, near fine in a very good dust jacket. Dark blue boards with white lettering on the spine; just a little wear at the edges of the boards. Owner's stamp at top of front endpaper. The jacket, also dark blue, with white and red lettering, is rubbed, with small chips at the foot of the spine and wear along the edges. This reissue was probably published in the early to mid 1970's, although there is no date other than the 1955 copyright date. $7.95 price on the jacket flap, no names or other marking written in or on the book.
Synopsis
Albert Memmi is the author of many books, including The Colonizer and the Colonized (also available from Beacon Press) and Arab and Jew.
