Original cloth ithe the rarely seen illustrated dust-wrappers; pp. xvi, 209; numerous plates after photographs (3 folding), 3 maps (one folding); wrapper with abrasure to spine and chipped to extremities, occasional light toning or spotting to text, a very good copy. First edition. The pilots' own account of the Houston-Everest expedition, supplementing the official account given in First Over Everest (1933). The topographic information, cartographic and photographic material gathered on this expedition proved to be crucial for the successful conquest of Everst in 1953.
