The dust jacket is bright orange and black with only some fraying at top of spine; it is in a Mylar protective cover. The interior pages are very clean and bright; there is no writing or marking inside. The book contains profiles of several important pioneers in the post-revolutionary war history of Upstate New York including Nathaniel Rochester, Joseph Smith, Mary Jemison, and the Wadsworth family. The book contains several black/white photographs of historical people and buildings.
