This book is a rich and detailed history of the counties of Rooks, Ellis, Graham, and Trego counties in western Kansas; of the landscape and nature there, of the early pioneers and settlers, and of the Native Americans who preceded them. This is an extremely hard to find book. This copy is in Very Good Condition. The dustjacket has some chipping along the edges. The author, Myrtle D. Fesler, has inscribed, signed, and dated the book on the front endsheet. This scarce piece of American History will make a fine addition to your library.

Now old and ailing, at last she wants to tell the truth about her extraordinary life. Her letter to biographer Margaret Lea - a woman with secrets of her own - is a summons.
