Pictorial endpapers; 12 color plates and numerous b&w illustrations. Spine a bit rubbed at ends; edges, corners, and label slightly so; some faint foxing to endpapers and pages opposite color plates. Nonetheless, still a clean, tight copy with plates still bright.
First edition, binding state A. The 25h book in the Oz series and the 11th written by Ruth Plumly Thompson. The Gnome King attempts to capture the Emerald City and regain his magic belt, much to the horror of Peter, the Philadelphia boy who returns on a flying poetical pig to try to save Oz. Bienvenue p113.
