Half title torn from head, lacking copyright page. Some bumping and a few short tears to edges of dust jacket. Sir Justin Franklin was concerned when his wife failed to answer his phone call. On a hunch he called his old school chum, Pat Dawlish, now Deputy Chief Inspector of Scotland Yard. Dawlish agreed to investigate - and what he found was shocking enough to convince him that he was facing a conspiracy more bizarre and sadistic than any he had encountered since the inauguration of the Crime Haters.
