About This Item
London: George Allen and Unwin, 1943. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/VG for age. Green cloth with white lettering, no obvious faults but just a thin hint of fading along top front where exposed above jacket. 97 pp., 10 text figs, no obvious internal faults. Unclipped jacket on verso of recycled map (of Cap Bon in Tunisia) as common for publishers' jacket in immediate post-war period - presumably did a deal with War Office - generally clean and unworn bar a few small nicks and one small chip (to back) edges, will close nicks and add protective sleeve when ordered. Really before its time in offering ways of teaching children about ecology and natural history in a practical field-work fashion. Uncommon. 14 cm x 22 cm
